About

GoTriangle is more than just bus service. GoTriangle’s Sustainable Travel offers transportation expertise and complimentary assistance to businesses, residential communities, and commercial properties to give them a competitive edge and to help improve transportation amenities and commuter benefits. These services and programs have significant impacts on commuting patterns, traffic congestion, personal health, and air quality in the Triangle. Services and Programs

Individualized Assistance

  • With GoTriangle Individualized Assistance, we give our riders a personal step-by-step process on how our transit system works. With so many people moving to this area, we’ve tried to alleviate the hassle of getting around by walking potential transit users through their options - be it bus, carpool, vanpool, and even finding a park-and-ride lot.

GoPerks

  • Get rewarded for your Go! With GoPerks, your smart commute by bus, bike, walk, carpool, or van can get you some cool stuff. It's pretty simple. Go smart, track your trip, get rewarded.

Telework

  • We agree that the best commute is no commute, even if it's not every day. Employees can telework part-time, full-time, just occasionally, or only during emergency conditions. Whether you’re an employer considering a telework option or an employee hoping to have the option, we’ve got resources to get you started.

Emergency Ride Home

  • ERH provides commuters, who regularly carpool, vanpool, bike, walk or use transit, with a reliable ride home for emergencies. ERH is available when you or a family member gets sick or has a severe crisis, your carpool/vanpool has to leave early or stay late, or you must work unscheduled overtime. Learn more.

ShareTheRideNC

  • Share the Ride NC (STRNC) is a statewide website that was created to help form carpools and vanpools. It is provided free of charge in support of the effort to improve air quality. In addition to providing rideshare matching services such as carpool and vanpool options, STRNC houses the free Emergency Ride Home program, the Commute Calendar tool, Single Trip Matching tool, and the GoPerks incentive program. Employer Benefits

Developers & Property Managers

In collaboration with Triangle J Council of Governments, GoTriangle Sustainable Travel Services and the GoTriangle Transportation Demand Management Partners across the region, developer and property management programs and workshops are available for the development community throughout the region.  GoTriangle TDM Partners gather resources for and about the development community to provide a better understanding of the correlation between parking management and TDM options in best preparing for and maximizing tenant mobility to and from your site.  Your local TDM providers can address individual development communities with a toolkit of commuter options and worksite program solutions and amenities that contribute to increasing occupancy rates and tenant attraction when added to the built environment.  By adding TDM options to your site program, your property can also earn LEED Location and Transportation credits.  LEED Transportation credits are based on where the project is located, its connect-ability to public transportation, and on-site amenities that can accommodate alternative transportation modes.

GoTriangle offers a 10-question, baseline survey for employers/tenants, commercial, mixed use, and residential properties to provide basic information about your tenant’s transportation and commuting habits, preferences and best commuter options available to them based on their location and proximity to work.  Information gathered can be instrumental in consideration of and planning for sustainable commute option to suit your site needs.  Please contact the TDM Mobility Management and Outreach Coordinator for your area to find out more.
